1:1 With Coach King
“Train to Win. Stay Chill. No Ego Required.”
Hey Coach King Here...
Okay, so here’s the deal:
I’m not going to “transform your life in 30 minutes” or offer you a “ninja blueprint to total mastery.”
What I will do? Help you become more skillful at your fight skills, resilient, and damn good at showing up for yourself—in both martial arts and life.
Who is this For & How Does it Work
Who Is This For?
-
You’ve got a pulse.
-
You’ve got curiosity.
-
You maybe don’t vibe with chest-thumping macho dojo vibes.
-
But you do want a better way to train your body, mind, and inner monkey.
How It Works (Spoiler: It’s Super Chill)
-
You book a session (or grab 4 for a better deal, because math).
-
We meet virtually—anywhere with Wi-Fi and space to move like a thinking primate.
-
We train. You ask. I coach. You learn. We laugh (possibly at my accent).
-
Need a partner for some drills? Bring a mate. No extra cost. Just don’t bring someone weird. (Unless they’re weird in a cool way.)
How Much Is It Going To Cost
Everything you have.
Just kidding.
Okay, jokes aside—here’s the real talk:
I give a damn about my students. I want to help you become the best version of yourself. But I also know what it’s like to stare at a zero balance in your bank account. Been there. Bought the T-shirt on layaway.
That’s why I work on an honor system. My coaching fees are flexible. You choose the package or rate that fits your wallet. Be honest. If you’re doing well, consider paying a bit more—it helps me support those who aren’t in the same boat.
I’m here to change lives, not empty pockets.
So, without further ado, here’s what’s on the mat:
-
£30 (+- $39) per session: Designed for students, early-career professionals, or anyone working with a tight budget.
-
£50 (+- $65) per session: A balanced rate for those comfortably managing their monthly expenses.
-
£80 (+- $105) per session: For those who are financially well-established and can comfortably afford to invest more.
Important: The prices listed above are based on a minimum package of 4 sessions. Most of my virtual students train with me once a week. So, for example, if you choose the £30 (approximately $39) option, the total comes to £120 ($156) for four sessions. If you're just looking for a one-off session or can’t afford to pay for four upfront—let’s chat. I’m open to finding a way that works.
Is it worth it?
You might be wondering, “Is this actually worth it?”
Fair question.
Look—I’m not some rogue alley cat anymore (though I wore that fur proudly once). You’d be training with one of the most respected martial arts coaches on this spinning rock we call Earth. Not my words—just ask the people who’ve trained with me.
I’ve been doing this since I was six. That’s a lot of mat time.
And while I may not be the sharpest tool in the drawer when it comes to trivia night, I do have a PhD and a few other fancy letters after my name. What does that mean for you? It means you’re stepping into a modern martial arts experience that punches way beyond the usual.
What’s a Session Like?
Sessions run 40 minutes.
In that time, we’ll throw down some badass martial arts techniques, mix in breathwork, mindfulness, and explore what I call the martial arts of everyday life—the inner game. I can teach you my Crazy Monkey System, work on your self-preservation skills, or even your Jiu-Jitsu (for that though you need a partner).
What do you need?
-
An open mind
-
A quiet space to move in
-
A punching bag (optional)
-
A training buddy (optional—but great for partner work)
-
If you want to do jiu-jitsu you need a space with mats
No gear? No stress. I’ve coached people training in hotel rooms while on work trips. Wherever you are, we’ll make it work.
Testimonials? Got ‘Em.
(I am not going to bore you with a million testimonials, here are a few, need more? Happy to send!)
"Although I lacked a training partner, many great tips for training solo were provided and I was able to get answers to my questions right away."
—Andre, Canada
"I needed an effective system for self-protection that could be realistically pressure tested within the combat sports and combatives communities. I found the answer in the Crazy Monkey Defense system."
—Ray, Former US Special Agent
“Under Rodney’s coaching guidance, I’ve learned practical ways to manage my daily work stress through breathing practices and mindfulness. He is a true Renaissance man in the modern era.”
— Joseph Annerino, Law Enforcement Agent, Florida, USA
“I have known Rodney for nearly a decade now, and during that time, there have been multiple times when I needed direction, clarity, and support. Rodney’s experience and knowledge have constantly supported my journey in business and personal growth. As someone who does not take feedback well, it was important for me to have a coach who allowed me to explore my needs and kept sessions on point and relevant to the agreed goals. I attribute my recent success to the unique and insightful sessions that Rodney has given.”
— Aaron Le Boutillier, Neuroscientist & Owner of Treet Roots Retreat, Thailand
“Working with Rodney has been a revelation for me. His guidance and coaching have helped me gain the power of perspective when looking at challenges I face and reframing problems. The approach of looking within myself to affect things I have the power to influence has increased my resilience to challenges, and in particular, now, when I am facing unexpected health issues, I feel more equipped to navigate this path with Rodney’s guidance.”
— Tom Mumford, UK
“I have wanted to work with Rodney for a long time. He has helped me elevate my personal growth and self-discovery to a new level. That growth goes well beyond the obvious into all phases of my life.”
— JD Morris, Retired Special Forces Operator, USA
